Proofing Options
Proofing is one of the most important operations in every project, from simple imposed PDFs to machine wet proofs:
Digital Proofs
Inkjet digital proofs are the fast alternative to wet proofing and can be very cost effective. Although not 100% colour accurate, our systems are calibrated to use the same postscript files and colour settings that are sent to press; this ensures that content accuracy, layout and imposition, fonts and overall colour splits can all be thoroughly checked before committing to metal.
We also produce mocked-up dummies from these outputs by customer request, enabling accurate checks to be made of the look and function of the final printed product.
Wet Proofs
These are always produced on the final stock, whether one-sided or backed-up, spot colour or process. If we are not running to weight but matching to a supplied sample, all press settings are preserved to be used on the main run or for future reference.
We retain a sample set of proofs for our own records and will normally supply up to 6 copies for yourself/customer or more by prior arrangement if required.
